Yellowstone

Here is one of many pictures I got on our class trip to Yellowstone National Park. Getting so close to Bighorn Sheep was a pretty great experience!

Lightroom color editing

With this photo I tried to use Lightroom to eliminate or dull all of the colors except for the subject's eyes. I think the "difference is more striking than conformity" rule applies fairly well here with the contrast between whites, blacks, and the orange eyes. The picture was tough to crop, so I decided it would be best to not cut out any of the subject's head and leave the eyes just below the center line.

I caught this photo two weeks ago when I went home. After spending most of the day trying to get some good photos, I caught this sunset at the end of the day. The picture is of the Bridger Mountain Range in Wilsall, Montana.

Thunder Jack

Here is a photo I captured over the weekend of Thunder Jack, a statue outside of Wilsall, Montana. After editing, I realized that Jack is looking out of the frame while the picture flows to the right. Besides this, I like the snow capped Crazy Mountains in the background.

Over the weekend I traveled home to Shields Valley and took quite a few pictures. After some editing, I thought this one turned out nicely.

Traveling Abroad

While researching our group project, I found these tips that could be useful if I were ever to travel internationally to New Zealand. However, keeping your eye out for Uruk-Hai and Nazgul did not make the list.
